Yulissa: Resiliency, Confidence and Focus

Brookview owns three properties: a 12-unit, permanent housing apartment building on Moreland Street in Roxbury, a 12-unit permanent housing apartment building on Hansborough Street in Dorchester, and a 12-unit emergency shelter for women and children on Brookview Street in Dorchester. The Hansborough and Moreland Street facilities are managed by Cruz Management – a local Black-owned real estate development and property management company.

In addition to the units of housing owned by Brookview, the organization leases 6 units of additional emergency housing for families located in Fields Corner and on Harvard Street in Dorchester, and on Hazelton Street in Mattapan.

Finally, through its Families At Home Program, in partnership Metro Housing, Brookview has 12 mobile housing vouchers for permanent housing placements anywhere in the Commonwealth of MA. These vouchers are for the exclusive use by families in Brookview’s emergency shelter program who are ready to transition into permanent housing.
